The Hill.com is reporting that Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), the Democratic Caucus chairman, has told new Democratic members of Congress to steer clear of Stephen Colbert and his satirical Comedy Central program, “The Colbert Report.”

“He said don’t do it … it’s a risk and it’s probably safer not to do it,” said Rep. Steve Cohen to theHill.com.
The Tennessee congressman taped a segment that last week was featured in the 32nd installment of the hilarious “Better Know a District” segment.
The Hill.com recounted the past Colbert interview with Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) who debated the merits of throwing kittens into wood-chippers, or when Rep. Zack Space (D-Ohio) explained that he wasn't his predecessor, felon Bob Ney (R).
Emanuel, according to TheHill.com, "engineered the party’s takeover of the House by capitalizing on a nationalized midterm election. Now, as the House Democratic spokesman, Emanuel is working to keep freshman Democrats in office."
TheHill.com pointed out Emanuel’s style of worrying and browbeating,“He’s the Al Davis of Congress,” said Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Pa.) to theHill.com, “Just win, baby.”
