I find it a little ironic she's going on about how much pain his drug addiction in the 80's caused her. Doesn't she realize he is still on a ton of drugs this very second? What is she doing about that? Maybe she's too busy promoting her book to care.

Sadly I agree with Aimee. He is badly addicted to cocaine and downers. He escaped by sheer luck from a long prison sentence in the US thanks to a good friend. Mrs O Dowd loves her son, if she knows about his recent drug taking I think she cannot handle the reality. It can't be easy being the mother of the most famous gay junkie in the world.

when will he learn?

Sadly I dont think he WILL ever learn.
His latest single, a duet with his 'friend' Amanda Ghost has been shelved, probably because of his appalling performance on Jonathan Ross, and the lack of publicity due to totally inefficient management from his new(ish) management team.
George seems to spend his time nowadays making home-made videos (rubbish ones at that) and putting them on Youtube and claiming that he's doing this as a free service for his fans.
Speaking as one of his ex-fans, of which there are a growing number as his hardcore fans are dwindling fast, I would rather see George putting his time to better use.
Its been so long since he's produced a good album, which is something we all know he is capable of if he sorted himself out.
Theres no doubt about the drugs thing and until he does something to clean himself up he will never be successful again.
Its a lot of talent going to waste.
As as for this clothes line thing. Brude. Its a complete waste of his time. Grossly overpriced screen printed rags. He's spending money on his new shop near Liverpool St station and selling tat.
London Fashion Week have denied them a place at there show because George and team dont even design the clothes themselves they just buy them in and screen-print them with 'shocking' slogans.
Its time to get real and come down from wherever you are Boy!

Sarah, you speak the truth~~~~~sadly. In the end when the cash runs out ,and it cannot continue,we'll see how his 'mates' rally. The hard core takers know who they are and will make themselves scarce when there's no more to take. The real talent lies in making music. Anyone who has heard DMIID or Cheapness and Beauty should realise that there's a clever man hidden in this cloud of cocaine dust. However it's most unlikely he'll recover from this bender. It's been going on for years and payback is inevitable. I hear the new management are trying their best, but if there's nothing to work with~~~~~~~~ I wish George only good things. George I fear ,wishes only eternal peace.

So Georges Wednesday gig was a disaster. He truly flunked it. Never seen such an embarrassing performance. The band looked bemused and horrified. Amanda Ghost who was billed to support was in the US NOT collecting her grammy, that for some odd reason she thought James Blunt may receive. Bet she's pissed, but she'll rattle on about being a 'nominated grammy' writer. Wonder how Blunt must feel everytime he goes for an award Amanda pops up? Imagine if old Bernie Taupin flew everywhere Elton was in the hope of a few press pics!! Have to say Blunt was photographed with everyone but couldn't find one of him and Amanda anywhere. Help anyone? George needs re hab. badly. Might be too late. He's due to crash any time soon, it was obvious seeing him on stage that his mind was gone. Maybe he doesn't care anymore, after all , why would you want to live if you have it all?
