miss usaDec 19th, 2006 - 17:20:37

If the allogations are correct-If she did abuse her right to represent the Miss USA crown she should lose the crown.
I do not believe that NY corrupted her-She takes herself with her wherever she goes!
Rehab for Miss USA? Give me a break-Did Donald ever hear of tough love?
This gives the message its OK to screw up just as long as you enter rehab. What about the zillions of young people who resist acting out, using drugs, they are the 'heros'.
Miss USA has a big responsability and she blew it.

That was the funniest press conference I have ever witnessed! When that woman grabbed the mic away from a shocked Tara-holy crap!

Miss USA is to set an example, not lead the way to easy outs. 'The' Donald showed his true colors today of being all blow and no go. Just like his TV show. I don't care if Miss USA is entering rehab. this is only too easy for people such as herself, Nicole, Paris and others in the spot light. It is an easy out for these people.

It is okay girls enter the contest, win, raise cain then worry about getting into the rehab so all will be well.

Boo for Trump. I will not watch his TV show any longer. Donald, you're fired!

disappointed!Dec 19th, 2006 - 17:55:16

Just when we think that the people who control the public opinion, the celebrities, can set a good example for young adults, we are again...let down. Tara may be sorry and teary eyed, as any girl publicly exploited for illicit behavior would be, but the fact remains that she tarnished the reputation of Miss USA. When I enstill values into my daughters it will not be 'go ahead and party it up until you get caught, then cry your eyes out until you are off the hook'... but rather the exact opposite. She knew what was expected of her and what the consequences of her actions are, she is not a child, yet she gets a slap on the wrist for disgraceful behavior. Sure, give her a second chance at making her life right, pay for her rehabilitaion, but as far as the crown goes... it belongs to someone who can uphold the privilege of being able to wear it and all the values that go along with it. Great message to send to a generation who is in desperate need of direction and morality. Way to go Trump.

Another disappointment from those in news!Dec 19th, 2006 - 18:15:35

What is it about this 'glam' thing, it is getting so old. By being blessed with beauty, she wins Miss USA, big deal. Then let's go get drunk and party, make the news (whatever that is anymore), cry, go to rehab (who cares) and make more news when you're all better, until the next time. Donald, you let us all down. She knew the deal, she failed more than once, so fire her. There are so many more deserving people with 'real' stories of success than this. Donald, is it just about money here? How sad. I won't be watching Apprentice this season.

Give me a !!@@##*&^ brake, her crown should have been taken, she violated the standards, the crown rightfully belongs to the runner up. I guess if you come from a small town in Kentucky and get caught in the New York night life then you to can have a second chance. That's why Time Magazine named 'YOU' the person of the year....

Tired of the BSDec 19th, 2006 - 18:31:59

Is it me...or has Donald found his next wife? Come on, he took the crown away from girl just because she couldn't make all the appearances, but this country hick can snort coke and underage drink and she gets to show what rehab can do for Miss USA? This is a joke and the pagent from this point on is a joke.

I wonder if the runner-up wasn't african american would Tara Conner keep her crown? huuummmmmmmmm

Ed the risk is worth the benefitDec 19th, 2006 - 19:01:37

This young woman deserves a second chance while she discovers who she 'really is' addiction is devastating and difficult to claim. After treatment and accepting what her 'demon' is this young woman will be an ambassador for the ones who think they don't have a chance in this world. She deserves a second chances when structured alternatives are provided.
